Gerber Tech designed and built a productivity tool for the cement industry. Hardware sensors measure the direction of the drum rotation. Software compromises a number of tools that inform user/s on the status of cement truck, whether its loading, delivering or standing in a queue.
Gerber Tech designed and built a customised tool for LAFARGE, based on their defined driver scorecard. This software incorporated the custom rules and definitions of hours of service (HOS). These rules and conditions can only be determined through the software and utilises the class leading GEOTAB Software Development Kit (SDK) of GEOTAB.
Trip Builder is a dispatching tool and this solution focuses on the optimum productivity and vehicle allocation to fulfill Service Level Agreements (S.L.As) linked to particular customers. Orders, in different locations, are added to a specific vehicle and the route/trip is sent to the Garmin device attached to the vehicle. In this implementation, we find the least number of vehicles that can fulfill a particular S.L.A linked to a particular client. This is an important measure for this kind of company to remain profitable on negotiated contracts. The nature of this business is that it needs to deliver generators to specific locations while fulfilling the specified service level agreements.
Gerber Tech designed and built a end-to-end opencast mining productivity tool aimed at increasing productivity and safety on the mine, the tools include among others the monitoring of vehicles across the mine, outage times, cross tramming monitoring at dumpsites, road conditions that could impact productivity, fuel management modules, fire alerts and engine monitoring, driver behaviour, key control to activate machinery by operator, tyre pressure and temperature monitoring, drill rig depth monitoring and operator productivity.
